The State, Capital, and power are all interconnected in profoundly subtle ways. The motivating interplay of these forces is what Marx termed “the dialectic”, and it controls all !em. Becoming conscious of these subtleties and joking them to human control is our task.

You can't strengthen one aspect of society (the State, as social democrats, Leninist and reformists have it) at the expense of the other. It simply doesn't work that way. A strong State depends on Capital. The State evolved to benefit Capital. Humanity rather must become totally conscious of these interrelations in order to control them. Marx thought that Capital news essentially a sentient organism – that the economy literally had a certain degree of awareness. He was probably right. Humanity must kill this awareness and substitute human control.
