The United States needs to lower the voting age or increase the working age.

Children shouldn’t be working and paying taxes to a government they can’t influence or contribute to. It’s too easy for corporations to take advantage of kids who aren’t able to stand up for their own rights. In many states, companies are hiring younger than normal to make up for the worker shortage. This feels wrong; companies are refusing to pay their workers more, and as such they have to hire younger workers who may not know the value of their work. The biggest concern about lowering the voting age is that children’s brains aren’t developed enough. If this were true, shouldn’t the voting age be increased so everyone’s brains are fully developed by the time they vote? I think 16 year olds are capable of making an informed decision for the benefit of the country they’re inheriting. 16 year olds work, drive, and contribute to society. It’s only fair that…

16 year olds work, drive, and contribute to society. It’s only fair that they should have a say in the government that they’re being controlled by.

If 16 year olds aren’t old enough to vote, they shouldn’t be allowed to work.
