if a wealthy person gets a good raise, they are more than likely adding to an ALREADY existing excess of monthly funds. it could be a 40% inc to their excess or a 100% inc to their excess.
if a poor person, who has been living pay-check to pay-check gets a good raise, allowing them to FINALLY have excess funds. we are talking about a potentially infinitesimal increase to their excess, since their excess started at $0-50. 0-50 to 450-500 is an INSANE jump percentage wise. something they would feel immediately.
if a wealthy person's excess goes from 3k to 4k. Sure, they are gaining more than the poor person but it impacts them less mentally.
because of this, I feel like the upper / wealthy class, whom control the country. Just literally can't fathom what it means to even make a few hundred extra bucks a month to a massive amount of people.
