I hope this is allowed, but I'm currently in school to become an esthetician specifically to begin working for myself because I absolutely refuse to work under someone ever again
The vice principal at my school treats us like slaves and I'm honestly getting to my limit. She makes us clean the entire school at the end of everyday, forces us to take clients even if we're busy/tired/sick (The clients pay the school for the service but we don't see a single cent of that money). One day a classmate was so sick from a migraine that she was vomiting, and the principal forced her to stay and do a pedicure. I was furious and spoke up for her, but the principal still pressured her to do it.
Currently, the vice principal is sitting on her ass getting a pedicure by my classmate (who I guarantee will not get paid for this) and is barking orders at us to clean and do her bidding.
I just genuinely don't understand how she thinks this is okay when we literally pay to be there, yet she treats us like employees. Except we don't get paid! I honestly don't know how much longer I can take her treating us like this. Unfortunately, she snuck some fine print into our student contract that forces us to do whatever she wants. If I had read it properly, I never would've signed it, so that's on me, but I still can't understand how they think this is okay…
Anyways. Thank you for reading my rant if you got this far. I just needed to vent to likeminded people
