So I thought I would make a different sort of topic. Employers definitely do not like it when employees discuss their wages, but basically everyone here understands that it's to people's benefit to discuss their wages. So how much do you make, what do you do, and is it really enough to pay your bills while saving money?
I'll go first. I currently earn $55k/year and I provide IT support. Because I live in a low cost of living area (this seems to be changing as of late) this does allow me to pay my bills and save a bit, but not enough to make me feel comfortable about the future and retirement. Although in a few months I will get some matching of my 401k so that will definitely help.
