Just a small picture of the location I work at. I'm in a fast food location that mainly serves drinks. Employees get select drinks for free as long as we aren't using the sellable cups meant for customers. Water in sellable cups is (obviously) free.
One of the longtime workers at our location was doing some work outside for a couple hours and went to grab a cup of water in one of the sellable cups. Management spotted him and asked, “Who's going to pay for that?” So, water is free for customers but not employees… After that we got a message summarizing the rolling back of employee perks (no more free food) and I've heard our employee discount (already the lowest in our area) is getting cut again.
