The way work is described scares me

I'm currently a UK student and i am wondering… is this unavoidable? Hatred and harrassment at work, shitty bosses who steal your wages and make the workplace a living hell, I know ive made a post like this before but I dont want to live like this. Is it unavoidable? Or did you make mistakes which lead to this life. No offense to those who couldn't help it and did the best they possibly could but what can I do? To lead a life i can look back on with joy, and not repugnance
