Just thought I'd make a positive post here. Recently I got approached with an offer, and while I was making good money and climbing the ladder at my, then, current employer I chose to accept the offer.

The offer made was just about the same salary (120k + flat share in company profit). I chose to accept because they offered:

– 5 weeks payed vacation + 1 week for easter and another Christmas

– 37,5hr/week. All OT is voluntary

– Excellent benefits

– Stock in the company

– Plan for education and certifications. If I take them on my own time I get 2k bonus not including the fee for school/cert.

– 100% remote if I want

– They pay my internet

– They pay my cost for commuting as long as it is by public transportation

– The company gives away 10% of the profit to charitable organizations of the employees choosing.

So to sum up, there are good employers out there. Don't settle for less – demand whats right and so on.
