At the store where I used to work, the managers would bend over backwards to accommodate anyone who screamed and yelled at us. They'd be showering them with free stuff and writing us up and yelling at us even if we just made an honest mistake. The truth is, being a Karen works very well. Managers are so afraid of losing business that the mental well-being of employees means nothing to them. Unless this changes and they can learn to say “fuck you,” it'll continue to be a problem.
