I'm in a program where I have to be in 1 position for 6 months, then another for 6 months, then 1 more. And then I roll off the program and into a full time position with the company. Here's my dilemma.
For this first position, it supposed to be full-time work from home. For the month of April & May, that was the impression that HR gives everyone in the program who has a fully remote position. Now at the end of May, they're asking everyone to relocate to where the position is taking place as long as there's an office. My direct manager works from home, & the team I work with is in India, Canada, and Brazil.
The HR person is asking me to break my lease to move. I can't quit yet bc I need to paycheck. Any advice on how to negotiate to stay where I am for this position is appreciated. But I have started to look at other companies
