I’m writing to share a (non-practicum) [for those of you not in the field this means you can’t even use it for clinical hours required for your degree so it’s literally just for the amazing training that this unpaid labor offers] training opportunity. The——- at the University of—— is seeking several motivated graduate students for part-time, unpaid clinical assistantships with a start date this summer. The primary responsibilities included for this position at the —- will be to screen potential incoming patients through the collection of clinical information, coordinate with —- therapists to arrange intake evaluations, and manage clinical data collection and our research database. In addition to working alongside Drs. —- and the rest of the —- team, clinical assistants will have the opportunity to attend —- workshops at no cost, including week-long workshops in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, as well as didactic trainings and group supervisions with advanced practicum students and postdoctoral fellows. Further, the clinical database will be available to clinical assistants if they are interested in pursuing research projects while at the ——. The minimum time commitment for the clinical assistantship is 8-10 hours/week for 1 year, which covers primary responsibilities only.
