This story isn't about me but my friend who lives with us.
Last Thursday my friend went into the local Rookies Tap House in Fountain, Colorado. He was accepted for the position and was very excited as he moved here from Florida and this was his first job. He was excepted on the spot and worked 6 hours that day. The back of house manager Derrick told him he would contact him with his schedule and he would be working with him until he learned everything. Everything was good in the world.
That night my friend had texted Derrick to see if he worked Friday, no answer. Friday he called Derrick to see if he needed to come in at 11 and left a voice mail. No answer. Saturday and Sunday his messages and calls were ghosted. Sunday he goes and talks to the manager and she tells him to come in Monday regardless if Derrick says to or not. Monday rolls around he goes up the the establishment and speaks with the OWNER of the place and she tells him that he needs to contact Derrick and she would tell the establishment manager to call him. No call, nothing. Just a few minutes ago he walked into the establishment and find out he doesn't have a job because he didn't show up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Needless to say he is very discouraged. Derrick said he tried to contact him all weekend but no texts were replied to, no calls were received. So Derrick was just covering his own behind. My friend showed he received no contact from Derrick but that didn't matter.
So this is me putting the establishment on blast and Derrick on blast.
