Each year my work allows 1 extra day of PTO if we choose to volunteer somewhere. I used my ‘volunteer’ day on Friday… Except I didn’t volunteer anywhere. Instead I slept in, I ordered myself food and I just really fucking enjoyed one day of pure bliss, away from the stress of work/ kids/ responsibilities. Here’s the thing, tomorrow I’m supposed to provide documentation of my ‘volunteer’ time so my PTO time is approved, what do I do?!
