This isn’t the only place you can work…no problem

I was recently working for a large corporate organisation who pride themselves on being a 'quality' place to work. After a recent, supposedly anonymous, employee satisfaction survey I was called into a meeting with no prior notice to explain my responses and then called out infront of my entire team (and the head of HR) in a subsequent meeting. They asked specific questions around employee satisfaction with their flexible working arrangements. There is no flexibility in my team due to a decision the manager made, that the executive support. So I responded that there is no flexibility, I am not happy with the current level of flexibility. The HR guy running the second meeting said to the group 'No one's forcing you to be here, there are other options if you really don't want to be here'… Then when I resigned literally everyone had the surprised pikachu face on. Currently travelling to day 2 at my new job. Already been told to arrive and leave as I want. Work remote when I want, just let someone know so they don't expect me at the office.
