I swear every post on this sub stating a problem, the top advice is “go to HR.” it's MIND BLOWING to me that anyone on this sub can think this is good advice. HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. THEY ARE NOT YOUR ALLY. THEY ARE NOT THERE FOR YOU. HR exists to protect the company and will always always always choose to protect their business over their employees. Stop suggesting this.
