Sorry for the rant guys, but it's depressing to see ALL the problems being mentioned here and there, and nothing happening to adress them:
Thousands and thousands of threads about how the billionaires are slowly destroying the lives of everyone (which is not far from the truth honestly), millions of viewers enraged against the system, tons of people who finally understand that we're slaves, and that we had no chance to begin with…but no one wants to do anything because we don't want to lose the little comfort that we have. I'm no exception, I'm part of the problem.
This place merely serves as an outlet, a place for us to vomit the agony that we go through every week, and that lets us discuss things with kindred spirits.
However, that's all that it is: an outlet, nothing else. No one wants to fight, no one wants to organize anything, because our lives are still comfortable compared to the 50% of the world living in extreme poverty, so it's better to simply think that “it would be way too hard to beat this thing, life's too short, so why bother? I'll suffer up until the end but at least I'll enjoy a few happy moments”.
We're completely and utterly fucked, because no matter what we've been through, we all think alike at the end of the day, and that conclusion is not one that will lead us to freedom.
Sorry again, for going on a rant, you're free to tell me something like “what about you? What are you bringing to the table? You're no better than anyone”, which is 100% true btw, I'm not. I'm no better than the dirtiest homeless guy in the city, and no better than the richiest guy around: I'm just human.
