I think a lot of CSR initiatives are bs and of course all about image for the company. BUT could someone in a CSR role still be making a positive impact on the world? Even if the company is fundraising etc. to make themselves look better, as long as they’re helping people and organizations in need, do the reasons mean much?
I am asking because my degree has me in a corner. I work in nonprofit now and I love it, but if I ever want higher pay in the future I’ll have to go into the corporate sector most likely, so I’m just wondering if a career in CSR would at least be doing some good.
