I had worked for this company for almost three months to learning and training for a supplier quality engineer role that I had 2-3 years previous experience in. to give extra background have social anxiety this effects me a lot of times in new companies but I usually settle after month or so. All was going well, I felt comfortable in this work space and the people after a year of jumping from one job to the other. Then I had to take three days off due to a nasty migraine.
When I came back the following week I was told my training is being changed and told I'm now to learn from a member of staff who is retiring in three weeks. So new training for a role I did not interview for and know I do not have the skills for mentally or physically. Jump to the first week and finding out the person retiring left loads of work with next to no time to complete certain projects. I raise my concern to my manager regarding my development and where my roll will be going. This is mostly shot down and told with vagueness of short to medium term in this position of work I don't want to be doing now or ever.
Cut to that night i am having anxiety attacks until the early hours of the morning about this role, and my future after a dream job changed in a blink of an eye. Am I crazy or is this just how companies use their work force now to chop and change rolls for staff no matter the experience or skills that may not transfer. They have signed me off for a week due to stress/anxiety and have been told a meeting with my manager is needed on my return.
