I love mental gymnastics where people can benefit from a corrupt system where wealthy people make all their money and they screw over the poor people who actually service them and then say “just get a better job”. You know unemployment exists, right? Meaning there are more workers than jobs. Someone has to work the shitty jobs. You know they repeal Roe v Wade to make poor people have kids they can’t afford so they’re stuck running the rat race and can’t take time to effect real change without their kids going hungry as they live paycheck to paycheck, right?
Then you come along and go, “yes, I shall give the wealthy business owner of the corrupt system all my money and fuck over the exasperated poor person with no options and hungry kids until they find a better job that numerically couldn’t possibly exist for all poor people with kids who are going hungry as we speak.” As if getting a better job is some brand new idea that people never thought of. It’s a very stupid, very selfish, and very harmful way of thinking that allows you to benefit from a system while fucking people over and acting like you’re in no way complicit. As I said: stupid, selfish, and harmful. But at least you’re not negatively effected!
Then after considering all of the above you actually believe your actions help these poverty workers in the long run? Like, what? You being a selfish prick is helping people?
