I was a teen, my second job, first serving food and coffee. We took orders at the counter and brought food out to tables and made coffee. We had a tip jar that was absolutely stuffed during busy hours. The first time I ran out of change I tried to figure out how to get more and my boss was like what are you doing leaving the till when it’s so busy ?? (There was a second employee behind the counter with me) And grabs a fistful of dollars out of the tip jar to use as change. I thought it was weird but was too young and inexperienced to say anything. Lost tips to that the whole summer I worked there. You’re welcome for the money Doug.
