So let’s discuss you, work 9-5 or 40 hours and barely get by ?
Fact: Healthy sleep is 7-8 hours
Fact 2: You want to work 40 hours or more a week
Fact 3: Fact 1 + Fact 2 equals 80 hours
So
Fact 4: leaves you with 88 hours left for you ( not including , dressing for work, bathing for work, commuting to work)
52% of your week is for work.
You want me to believe these numbers are fair and humane?
I am a public service and customer service leader. With my own business, I have come to understand that I cannot expect to employ a whole community a living wage. You guys need to change your perspective and realize you are A number in someone’s larger game. They (corporate execs, company owners, land owners) reap more from doing less.
Realize that I cannot go to sleep at night paying someone $15.50 an hour 40 hours a week. Rent in my community for a box with a bathroom is $800-$1600 . It’s not like they charge less rent for living near public transportation either. (Wake up call: rent is higher ) so it’s not like I can depend on transportation for my employees so now I have to consider a, carnote/ monthly payments , their insurance , their gas , their maintenance cost.
Just off rent and commute only how does anyone think that having just enough to get by is, okay & just ? Let’s discuss because maybe you have some unknown answer we have never thought of . Use common sense please. No one has the right to enslave people.
