Just got told by my boss today that under no circumstances I am allowed to drink water while working on the tills at work (which I do for 8 hours a day and sometimes don't get a break because it is so busy). I think this is absolutely insane as the building is probably about 25'C throughout the day and you'd be sweating just standing, let alone moving the way the job requires. There is no union and I'm still fairly new to this place of work and am not sure what to do in this situation. Does anyone have any advice or has faced the same situation? I know it's not a sub for legal or advice or anything but i would appreciate peoples opinions on this.
