I took a new job with better pay that's more aligned with my goals during Covid. A huge draw of this job was that it's up to me when I want to come to the office because a small part of my work requires I occasionally be on-site.
One year later a new COO starts and is now telling everyone they need to be in the office 4 days a week minimum. It's a 45 minute drive each way.
Long story short I'm trying to quietly figure out who else is against this change so we can fight it. The requirement is in none of our employment contracts.
I enjoy my work, I am good at it. My boss is happy with me and doesn't see why we should be required in the office. Fuck these boomers that skip around from exec job to exec job staying only long enough to get a severance and screw everyone else over.
