Been wanting to switch careers for a while and got an interview for a job making 10k less but would get me into my desired new field. Cut my long hair off, took the afternoon off, and when I get there, the general staff tells me the guy I have the interview with went home early. Called him 3 times, no answer. Walked over to HR and she calls him from the other room, but I can hear him tell her that he forgot about the interview, didn’t feel like doing a phone interview, but if I “wasn’t lazy and wanted to work” I should call him and ask for another interview. HR came out and bold face lied and said there was an issue he had to handle offsite and that I needed to call back for a new interview time. HR should be reprimanding HIM, not asking me to spend even more of my PTO on her terrible employee. So fucking discouraged.
