Toxic environment in healthcare

Anyone else find the environment in healthcare to be extra toxic? I’ve had multiple instances of bullying throughout my time and I am so fearful of changing jobs because I finally found a wonderful role even though it doesn’t pay enough (I’m a casual worker so hours can be sporadic). My previous workplace had a direct manager who insisted that you had to arrive to work 10-15mins earlier every day and you had to be seated with your computer turned on and ready by 9am. But we also had to work an extra half hour a week to make up for the 38hours. We weren’t allowed to turn off computers at 5pm and had to answer the phone if a call came in at 5 because “our opening ours say we are open until 5”. She would also creep people out by sneaking up and staring at you working to…
