Context: This job is my first full-time position. I graduated undergrad in 2019, so I only had a temp job after graduating until the pandemic hit. During that time I developed a successful website where I managed over 100 people. I am currently in grad school with a 4.0.
The reasons this is my first full time job was: pandemic, full time grad school, and health issues.
Anyway, basically I started a job 3 months ago. I love the team, but the business owner is a toxic, narcissistic micromanager and every time they are in meetings (of which they attend all) I have to deal with them either yelling at me or co-workers over minute things and never saying thank you to us for grueling work they fling on us last minute.
The kicker is: they fired someone and gave me all of that person’s work. No raise. No thank you for taking on 10x more work.
So I’m thinking of looking for another job because I have a chronic health condition, and I turn 26 before the year mark at this job. I don’t want to have to switch insurances twice after getting my meds approved (cause that’s often a 3 month battle). So I feel like it’s smarter to look for a new job to stay at?
This is becoming so unbearable but I’m afraid I won’t get a job bc of my lack of full-time experience.
Advice?
