I’ve been at my current company for over 6 years. We were a mom/pop shop for 3 years and got bought out after 3 years. I’ve had no substantial increases until last year for hourly and went from 12 up to 17 in 6 years. I’ve been unhappy and strongly encouraged I receive a new role in company and finally found one for salary at 50k so hourly would be around 25$. They’ve taken advantage of me for the last few years and I’m finally doing something about it and being political to bring it in my favor. I am currently working from home due to situations and making sure boundaries are known. How do I coast in a new role that’s salary at the same company while doing bare minimum or max 40 hours? While keeping work from home or hybrid after situation passes and I don’t have reason to wfh. After all this time of being taken for granted, I’m trying to do my own self interest.
