So they finally tried to get rid of me. I signed a 1099 so I'm not too surprised but let's get into it.
I work at a sand plant in Texas I was told on Saturday to clean the top of the 125ft silos I was told it's alot of work for one person and if I needed to take a break take one we had a spill on another supervisors shift and they said nothing until my supervisor went up and saw it I did what I could on Saturday and when I got back up there on Sunday I was called down to help with a certain silo as it was on the fritz. Going up and down (244 steps each way) takes a toll on you so I decided to just clean on the ground all the sand off the sidewalk inside the silos everything keeping in mind someone else will come and do the pile of sand up top and if not I can always hit it again on my next few days we'll it turns out the sand pile comes back when we transfer sand meaning it's not a spill it's a given I messaged my supervisor to let him know and even told the next shift about it being told not to worry about it then I get a text message (comments) that I am being let go and they found a replacement for me being told I did nothing the whole weekend I called and asked if they can review the cameras and they message me back saying I wasn't on top of the silos at all so not knowing how to accurately relay in a professional manner they are fucking lying I call the big boss and explain my situation only for him to admit he was the one who pushed for my termination as he didn't want any “drama” few months ago I was literally being talked about purposeful messes left for me to clean up and nothing was done to the individual in question now they are saying I start drama though I have worked here for 6 months and have never even uttered a negative word towards anyone even when I was getting the short end of the stick. My boss claimed I can work until he gets here next week so we can all review the footage but my supervisor smelling something amidst decided to review the footage himself and send his findings to the big boss and other supervisors the big boss then tells him okay we are good (me) can still have his job. The other supervisors are pissed I'm still working here and have now given me the cold shoulder the other supervisors call me lazy not realizing I'm very far from it as I am still cleaning up messes left by them and their crews to clean so they don't have to now I'm sitting here at work and I feel so sick to my stomach they were ready to fire me so fast they found a replacement I can't believe it I go home muscles aching covered in sand everyday yet I'm the one who slacks? I'm beyond pissed off and I guess I'm just not sure if I can do anything I guess I'm just mostly here to vent.
