I literally got fired from my job as an online game presenter (online casino dealer) in Canada for wanting to wear pants instead of a dress for my uniform. I'm biologically female but identify as gender neutral. This company REQUIRED females to wear a full face of make up every day while males didn't have to wear any make up. No females didn't get any extra compensation. If females didn't wear make up (like I refused to later in my time) they were given bad reviews which lowered their compensation.
I am happy to report as a result of my termination females are now given an option. Only took 4 years after the company opened to allow females to wear pants. They are still required to wear make up with no extra compensation though.
