Trying to find the difference in rights and legality between a contractor and an employee?

I posted my question first on /legaladvice here But they seem to always get off topic and bring up irrelivant data to fit whatever agenda they're trying to push. So maybe this community could help me understand. Pasting my legal advice post : I've been working as a contractor in the IT field for the last year in NC. I've been working as a contractor in the IT field for the last year in NC. My last contract i had an employer lets call them “Legends Systems” and they hired me to work on site for a large tech company lets call them ” E Corp” . I worked in person at a physical office location for about 3-5 weeks before i was fired. I am considering legal action in civil court and am a little confused about the wording or legality of what i am able to sue for and what would be thrown out on technicality such as i don't think i can sue for wrongful termination because i was never an employee of E Corp. I was never given a reason for my firing, i simply got a call from Legends recruiter one day saying it was over and not to return. Since then I've filed several police reports for the theft and larceny that happened to me when i had important documents (bank info, crypto keys, business notes, ideas) were stolen right out of my personal notebook. I believe i have a laundry list of other charges and claims to file in my complaint but i'm doing this all pro se. I have a great book to reference on how to represent yourself in court. I just don't want to put something foolish in my complaint that would be easily dismissed or take away from the real events i want focused on.

Lastly i tried contacting E corp to get their legal department so i could offer mediation before i file my complaint but was told to contact the customer service number( i'm not a customer) and they told me to contact the Human Resources department ( but i was never an employee of E corp) and they refuse to give me an address or number to contact to discuss these legal matter or even an address to send the complaint and serve them to. I have their headquarters located in Texas, but this happened in an office in NC. Please help?

That is not illegal on their part

I never said i was trying to have a claim against Legends Systems. I already know what charges i want to file and never claimed this was a wrongful termination or anything close. The subject matter is the difference of rights and legal differences between a contractor and an employee.

But I'll give a rundown of wrongful termination since its the only obvious potential claim.

This is not a wrongful termination issue, at all. It was an at will employment and i wasn't discriminated against for any protected class reason. My complaints that i do have and have researched significantly are relevant to the dynamics between the employee employer relationship and how things would be technically considered as a contractor working at a E Corp Location hired by Legends Systems.

My complaints range from ; Fraud, Sabotage, Theft, Larceny, Identity theft, espionage, slander, defamation, hostile work environment, and i've got about 10-15 others that i'm sorting through to see if they have validity or relevance in the court i am pursuing. and YES i do know that criminal charges like theft ,etc will be up to a prosecutor to decide but as i've already stated i've filed many police reports and have everything extremely well documented with logs, pictures, and evidence in all forms.

I'm not asking for advice on what to file a complaint with or if you even think i have a chance at winning whatever complaint i file. This is specifically about the difference between property and theft and employment dynamics.

Any help would be great
