TW – SA , “Come to work anyway”

2018, unfortunately was assaulted at a lake. I did immediately report and got a kit done. Received 6 stitches, and was given ibuprofen. I genuinely forgot about calling in to work for the next day, where I was a shift leader at a rival taco place to the famous bell. Ended up letting my GM know when she called. She expressed her sorrow and hung up. I missed 3 shifts due to the pain and being unable to walk. I was told I had no PTO and needed to come in on the 4th day. I still wasn't physically ready, and declined. Termed on the spot. Spent 60-70 hours a week there, trying to give my all to my team that was getting as used as I was, and the RM wouldn't even give me compassion in the end. I have always been extremely anti-work but I am even more…

I have always been extremely anti-work but I am even more so after that. Fuck corporations, and fuck Kathy. Every company NEEDS to have some kind of time off without requiring approval weeks in advance. It's your time, take it back and force the upper hands to make these changes. Also, eat at a local taco truck for tacos and burritos. They're better anyway.
