I know this has been said several times over, but I want to reiterate that you should never bother to even consider giving your employer the courtesy of a two weeks notice. They will never give you the same courtesy. And some, like my former employer, will take it a step further. They’ll tell you that you “should be gracious” that they offered to pay you for the rest of the pay period. Even more, they’ll be “baffled” that you are “making things hard” and threaten you with a felony when you tell them you need time and boxes to pack up their shit be because they expect you to use your personal supplies. Don’t do these people any favors.
