Hello antiwork reddit, been lurking for a while on another account, but posting on a throwaway account because I'm super anxious. I work at retail store, and I've been joking with my housemates about starting a union. Kind of a haha wouldn't it be funny, jk lol, unless?? Today we had an absolute shit show at work and I was talking with my coworker about it afterwards, and the union thing got brought up, and it turns out they've already talked to most of the people in the store and they're all for it. So with that in mind, we've decided to actually move forward. There are a total of eight people in our store. Of them is the store managers, two assistant managers, a sales supervisor, and four associates. All of the associates and one of the assistants is pro union for us, at least in theory.
So I'm looking for advice on the next step. I've been all over the ufcw site, which had a lot of good information, but I'm looking for more resources, and personal experiences if people have them.
