Being in a union of a third world country in south america for a multinational callcenter, my work consist of calling US citizens when there are suspicious transactions on their cards to see if they were the one who made those transactions, if not then block the card, pretty easy and standard.
All the negotiations of salary go through the union, country had a 12% inflation last year, and today they have announced that from june 1st all agents have a raise in salary, those at 24h/week contract got a 20% raise, those at 36h/week (my kind cof contract) got a 31%, those at 42h/week got a 35% and those at 48h/week (the legal full time in my country) got a 40% raise, before that salaries were at the average of the industry in this callcenter.
So thats it, im happy because after inflation my expenses were almost reaching my incoming, but now i can save extra. So let your union do the negotiation.
