Hi! I don’t know if this is the right sub for this but I’m giving it a shot.
I am seeking advice about unions in the UK.
I’m a Canadian immigrant to the UK, and all my university was done in Canada.
I used to be a teacher here and was a member of a teaching union.
However, I left the profession and now work as a technical writer/knowledge specialist for a large software company. I have done so for the last three years and am wondering if/how I should join a union.
Are there generic “office person” unions in the UK? Or is there a “technical writers” union???
