The headline tells it all! The men's restroom was decommissioned for months because literal shit was all over the floors! The womans restroom has shit-smeared toilet rims, overflowing tampon waste bins, zero toilet paper, zero soap, zero paper towels. The water runs though! There are bathrooms from the university itself about 300 yards down so it's fine to walk, right?
Oh hey that's not all! The floors are never swept and mopped. I say it hasn't been done and over a month. Did I mention we're a food court? That means 5 different fast food chains are in and out between the hours of 5 AM and 6 PM! 5 days a week. There is rotten food in the fridges and freezers, where there's two of each. They tell us to serve the food around the molded food! “Produce is expensive and just because we don't use it fast enough doesn't mean we can throw it away.” (I have multiple pictures backing up and proving my claims).
Every supervisor smokes weed during shift, drinks at night and shows up later than scheduled. They get away with scratching others (it was a joke but the guy seriously bled), opening the stores late, vaping in the office/taking smoke breaks, eating food whenever they want, and so much more. Upper level management blames us new hires and cuts our hours as punishment. Upper level management is hands off, essentially. They have no idea how the courts are run and makes terrible decisions based on who looks “college” enough to be supervisors. They run a cock-roach infested tight ship where of you are thin, blond, beautiful and ditsy you'll be supervisor; a title with the value of shitting on the floor and making someone else clean it up for you.
I put up with this hoping to be recognized for my efforts and promoted; a change within situation. I was told I was a shoe-in because I have Servesafe certification and management experience. Found out today the 18 y/o with bleach blond hair and a pretty smile will be the supervisor. I'm not staying silent on the unhygienic and unhealthy establishment which serves food to over 1000 people per day. As a university, you'd think the standards would be higher.
