“Unprofessional” Just Means Blunt

In every job I've held, I've been told I'm often unprofessional or I don't create a “friendly work environment”. That was until I got the job I have now and was told I was just being too blunt. I'm finding a lot of people like myself who simply prefer efficient problem solving over kowtowing to someone's feelings. We don't apologize for the inconvenience, we ask what the problem is, find a solution to it, and move on. We have no problem letting customers and clients know when they're wrong about something and that we're not going to jump to help them just because they're throwing a tantrum. We clock in on time, we clock out on time, we don't do favors or go “above and beyond” without pay. So stop letting people tell you you're doing something wrong when you're doing exactly what's expected of you.
