I posted on this sub about 6 months ago about a very toxic work environment at my now previous law firm.
Since leaving, the firm has lost 4 more lawyers (There were only six to start with). This brings the total up to 18 lawyers lost in a 3 year period (if you aren’t a lawyer, this level of turnover is ABSURD in the industry). All of them have cited the toxic work environment.
To boot, the firm has also lost half of its support staff as well. Same reasons given.
All of us who have left liken it to getting out of an abusive relationship and finally feeling free.
It’s going to be a miracle if the firm can continue operating with its existing caseload.
It’s nice to see that occasionally businesses do in fact reap what they sow.
