So I quit my job a few months ago working at a wedding banquet due to having an absolute idiot of a boss. I’ll put the link here
So I’ve recently run into one of my old co workers and he gave me some new details.
-
Idiot of a boss has been fired for stealing and drinking alcohol on the job. Not just a little, he was downing half a bottle at least per shift. Found out he’s also been kicked out of his house due to his alcoholism. (I don’t like the guy but tbh this is quite sad and I hope he lands back on his feet)
-
Before boss was fired, the entire kitchen staff quit because they couldn’t handle him anymore. This included the older staff who has been working with the club for 40+ years.
-
Most of the fellow maintenance staff quit and the club hired a few new guys who aren’t filling in the shoes.
Myself and a few others voiced our concerns to the clubs leaders and they didn’t listen to us and sided with the boss. We’ll come to find out they haven’t made a penny of profit in almost 6 months now and are facing bankruptcy. Tbh it’s a little sad because the club means a lot to a lot of people. But I can’t help but feel some sort of satisfaction to know that I was right.
Edit: kitchen staff quitting means the club wasn’t able to host banquets and lost their main (arguably only) source of income.
