Original post here. I stood my ground and was able to negotiate the wage I'd originally asked for. The key phrase I used was 'I am highly employable in the current market.' As applicants, we have the most leverage for negotiating wages. As employees we have the least. I hope this advice helps some of you to advocate for thriving wages.
