Hello all! Thank you for checking out and responding to my previous post, thought I would follow up on it since many people were split on the situation.
For starters, the reason I was quitting that job is an unhealthy work environment. Employees that would harass me on how to do my job correctly (seating people and whatnot) and overall not an environment where you want to grow and improve.
After my text exchange, I came into work this morning and said I would be happy to sit down with my two managers to discuss my reasoning/concerns for resigning. I explained to them exactly what I mentioned above, and that a lack of any mention of this treatment is the reason for my resignation. They were really understanding and said although they’d love me to stay they will respect my decision. All in all everyone is good! We are moving our separate ways and on good terms for the next few weeks together.
And to note. I did mention my managers multiple messages and would prefer not to be spammed, especially when I am driving, and she agreed:)
Again, thanks everyone! I know that post was not loved by everyone, but my intent was not to “humble brag” or whatever some people claimed it to be. Rather, I was just annoyed at the constant texts while I was still trying to decompress a hard moment for me and my peers. Thanks again, cheers!
