Are any of you familiar with cases won by workers regarding this? It's well known in the restaurant biz you don't get your legally owed breaks. And while I haven't worked in that industry for a few years, I may have to soon to make some extra money.
I'm not going into this trying to sue but also I spent too many years working doubles without a break and I'm not going to do that shit moving forward. I realize that means I'll just get fired. But I'm curious if this group knows of any cases where workers have won/how late after leaving a job with no breaks can you file a claim? Over 5 years at this point but in the last 13 years, most of my time was as a waiter/bartender/busser (never got a single legally owed break if I worked the number of hours to get them.)
