Vent/Rant

For context, I started my job a couple months ago, I was hired with a different manager that intended on making me a keyholder, I got along with them super well, the environment was one I could thrive in, and I looked forward to headed to work everyday. My manager had to move to a different city, bummer, but I was sure the new manager was going to be fine. So new manager comes in, he’s great!

Nice dude, but things start to change around the store, I notice my coworkers have concerns about how the store is running, they decide to call the district manager and tell them what’s been going on, because who wants to go up to their boss and tell them what they’re doing wrong.

So, the manager and district manager have a chat, from what I’ve heard it’s heated, doesn’t take it constructively whatsoever. He decides to go around telling other coworkers that me and the other keyholder are trying to get him fired, saying he should’ve never promoted me, just overall slandering me and being unprofessional.

So since he thinks I’m trying to get him fired, my hours have been cut from 15 to 3 a week. Unbelievable, I didn’t even do anything. Anyways, I’m trying to handle the situation as nicely as I can, while anxious and angry.
