I don't have many skills despite having a degree in biology. I've long accepted this and it sucks but welcome to life. However, why tf do I need to apply, have a “phone screening” to even know what the company pays. From what I experienced this morning, glassdoor is not very accurate even when it's self reported.
My current company is going down quick so i've been applying to jobs. Can't even get a range of pay and if it is listed, it's a joke ($11/hr for example). The job I just had a phone screening for is $4/hr less than what I make now. I'd have to spend gas going into the office and the reviews seem to point to some of the same issues I have in my current job that's remote.
Don't even get me started on the whole “What do you know about us and why do you want to work here?” shit. I NEED MONEY TO LIVE. THAT'S IT. My mental health is spiraling because of my finances. I'm working on bettering them and shit just keeps dropping on me.
