Frustrated with my job right now. Not at the point of switching, yet. And financially not able to. Just need to vent.
In the past month, I have been moved to 4 separate locations.
Got moved from a position that has emergency situations off to an essential personnel status position. Even though both have the same job titles and requirements.
I cannot complain they have been making me drive farther. They have made the driving distance less. But since I have to drive between sites, and can fill out our mileage reimbursement form….. yeah, I have a feeling it is less distance so they don't have to pay for gas.
Full time means 40 hours. Okay. But has to be full year. School year or summer off, even with full 40 hours working during either time, counts as part time.
I started my main job in this newest position. Good site, sympathetic coworkers, good supervisor who actually comes in and works with us rather than one of the office drones and understands shit happens. The job requires me to be on site. One of the desk based supervisors decided, against my supervisor and my coworkers' wishes (This happened over my lunch break) that I should spend over 1/2 of my shift at a separate site, 20 miles away. When asked why the floater who they just hired to travel between sites could not go, when I am required to spend most of my time on site (like….not 5 hours at a different site, driving half an hour, then spending 2 1/2 to 3 hours finishing my job) my supervisor was told to have people cover my shift, because the floater had farther to drive.
Other issues too, but these are the ones needing to vent.
