I want to know, why is it that playing video games is often seen as lazy and unproductive or wasted time? I personally don't mind my gaming habits and if I get my work done and my chores done I see nothing wrong with just spending most of my free time playing video games. But when I mention this in other advice subreddits or other places on the internet I always get told that I should be doing more productive things or that I should not be wasting my time. Is this just another aspect of the toxic hustle culture that I keep hearing about? What are some ways that I can counter people who say that gaming is a waste of time or why do some people feel a need to always be busy so often?
