Walked out of my two year job

I worked at a retail store sporting goods store, but I was on the side selling guns. I was passionate about firearms, my coworkers were cool and we formed a genuine bond, and it was my first job when I got home from the navy so I took the low pay and awful hours. I worked at a retail store sporting goods store, but I was on the side selling guns. I didn’t even get full time, despite working 40 hour weeks for 6 months, until I hit a year. Me and the rest of the firearms team were treated like second class citizens by management, constantly told we needed to be somewhere other than the guns, or that we need to do another departments job. After 2 years and some change, I was the last one left, but I finally got a job offer at a fairly laid back factory for $5 more an hour, and benefits and a consistent schedule. I was determined to put in my two weeks and be nice and cordial, but the day after, the store director approached me and said “I thought you said you would still do part time? What’s the deal?” And after he talked to me, the department manager approached and said the exact same thing. I left the firearms counter, talked to my friend for a bit, clocked out for lunch and never went back, and I feel great. I’ve been told that two other people walked out after me, and no one is there to close the gunbar. Feelsgoodman
