I work at a daycare, and usually close. Yesterday (9-27) I was asked to go to a sister building and help out Bc they were very short handed. I worked there from 8am-2pm. When I came back to my building I still hadn’t had a break, so I took a half hour, thinking I’d be leaving at 5. When I called my boss around 5 to see if someone was coming in for me, she got very passive aggressive and pretty much told me to suck it up, I needed to shut the room down.
I am always late leaving the building because parents don’t come pick up their kids on time (we close at 6, I’ve waited for parents past that). I am always asked to come in early with “no guarantee of getting out on time”.
Not doing that shit any more.
