I had to write this because I'm baffled by American healthcare and generally work laws and wonder why people are still moving there.
I live in Serbia, an ex socialist country. The healthcare law I will be discussing was invented during socialism in Yugoslavia.
So, unemployed people and people under 18 have free full coverage, people that work will have (I think) 5% of their monthly wage taken automatically for full coverage.
So during socialism a system was created that provided full and affordable healthcare to every citizen regardless if they were unemployed or were working minimum wage jobs.
Also, insulin right now costs around 27$.
Even with all that we are in the top 5 fastest growing economies in Europe.
