In early April, I was looking for a new job and started applying. I got reply from 2 companies offering me same Salary. But there was a Catch.
For Company A (let call them A & B), I have to work on a night shift. and for Company B, I have to work on a probation period of 2 months (that was what's discussed on the call). and then I will get the same salary which was offered by company A (For first 2 months I have to take 25% less ).
So I decided to join the Company B.
So I called Company B and told them I am willing to join them after a month. They told me to send them a copy of my resignation , so I did and they sent me the offer letter.
Here comes the main part, they asked me join as soon as I can. So I told them that I can join them before start of May. But they called me told to join after Holiday. Which ended on 5th of May. I joined them on 6th and started working. On joining they told me that I have 3 months of probation period which was not the same as discussed earlier. I didn't object to that.
But then next month when I got my salary it was 15% (40% if we include the offered salary) Less, I talked to the HR and they explained me that it was because I joined them after a week in May. I reminded them about our conversation (keep in mind that salary was not deducted from other employees because of those Holiday). They told me to keep working and I will get full salary next month and I did.
What do you think was I robbed? were they right? What I should have done in that situation?
